Re Entry Plan

COVID-19  Recovery  Plan  for  Medina  Naz

As state officials give guidance for the reopening of businesses and other venues in Ohio, our church will implement a phased approach to opening our doors again for gatherings.  It is our intent to follow best-practices as advised by state officials and our local health department, in addition to guidance given by our denominational leadership.  Since the information is fluid and changing, some details and dates below may be shifted to meet standards and guidelines as they are announced.

PHASE 1 – REDUCED OPERATIONS  - Now  thru May 30th

  • Church Services: Online only

  • Groups: Zoom Only

  • Children’s Programming: Sent via email to families with children

  • Special Events/Gatherings: Limited to under 10 or outdoors, with social-distancing and face coverings

PHASE 2 – LIMITED OPERATIONS - Beginning May 31st

  • Congregation is invited to attend the worship service in-person at 10:45am on  Sundays!  However, those in vulnerable populations are encouraged not to attend.

  • Church cleaners will sanitize the building prior to Sunday mornings.

  • Attendees will be encouraged to practice social-distancing, with an estimated 6-feet between people.  Please do not hug, shake hands, or physically touch others.

  • Attendees are strongly encouraged to wear masks, and disposable masks will be available for those without.

  • Volunteers will sanitize high-touch surfaces throughout the service times.

  • Sanitizing wipes will be available in the bathrooms so people can disinfect surfaces after use.

  • Please wash hands and use hand sanitizer frequently, which will be available in multiple locations.

  • Drinking fountains will be off limits.

  • Chairs will be rearranged to allow for social-distancing, with groupings for families.

  • The Church Nursery and Hope Squadron (Children’s Church) will not be operating.  Kids are invited to the worship service and ‘busy bags’ will be available.

  • Offering donations will be collected in one container in sanctuary (in addition to online giving), to avoid passing plates.

  • On Communion Sundays, elements will be available at a centralized location, not passed person to person.

  • Small group meetings will continue to meet online, each deciding on a time other than Sunday mornings to meet.

  • Café Naz drinks will be served (not self-serve), in order to limit contamination of surfaces.  Only pre-packaged snacks will be available.

  • Services will be recorded and posted on the church YouTube channel for those who cannot/ should not attend.

PHASE 3 – STEADY OPERATIONS - As Restrictions Are Eased in our community…

  • All services offered in-person

  • Groups offered in-person, including Sunday School for children, teens and adults
